Jerusalem Children's Fund

The Jerusalem Children's Fund was established in 2008 by Tom and Kate Hess as a part of Progressive Vision International.  Over several years of marriage, living on the Mount of Olives, Kate received God's heart for the children on the Mount and throughout Jerusalem.  Tom and Kate  felt it was time to initiate a non-profit work dedicated to helping these children, especially to those with dire needs who have no other channels of support.  This was instantly confirmed through phone calls, emails and people coming to them with donations with a similar heart to help Jerusalem's children, even before they had formerly established the work.  Since 2008, the Jerusalem Children's Fund has been privileged to give joyfully to many children in need and causes that benefit these children.  We can truly say that Our Story is His Story, as God is the author of life, of loving and blessing the children of the world and of Jerusalem.

Projects we have participated in, needs we have met (so far):  

• medical and dental needs
• school fees, including tuition, books, supplies, uniforms/clothes
• nutritional needs (food and supplements)
• holiday gifts and giving (i.e. food vouchers/baskets) 
• a new music center for disadvantaged children
• petting zoo (for children with trauma)
• after-school programming for the children of new immigrants
• helping with the efforts to end human trafficking
• supporting pro-life and the families who chose not to abort their children 
• baby showers for the needs of new babies
• kids camps (including soccer, dance, drama, English, etc.)
• English tutoring
• music lessons
• visiting orphanages in Bethany, Bethlehem and Mount of Olives – having parties, doing dramas, playing harps and other instruments
• monthly birthday parties for the children in our neighborhood
